"Linguistic Diversity" Reading Festival at the Theatermuseum Düsseldorf


On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Haus der Kulturen Düsseldorf e. V., in collaboration with the Düsseldorf Municipal Integration Center, invites you to a special evening as part of the 2025 Düsseldorf Reading Festival Week. Under the title “Linguistic Diversity,” multilingualism will be celebrated and highlighted as a cultural resource.

The event will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Studiobühne at the Theatermuseum Düsseldorf (Jägerhofstraße 1, 40211 Düsseldorf); doors open at 5:30 p.m., with snacks and tea served.

Following a brief welcome at 6:00 p.m., guests can look forward to a varied program featuring multilingual readings and artistic performances:

  • Carmen e. V. – Reading in German & Romani
  • German-Indian Society, Inc. – Articles in Bengali, English, and German
  • DIFI e. V. – Texts in Farsi and German

Starting at 7:30 p.m., the evening offers an opportunity for everyone to mingle before the event ends at 8:00 p.m.

The Reading Festival shows how language builds bridges, strengthens cultural participation, and brings people together through diversity and self-expression.
