Voice-up! Tell real stories with your smartphone
A Creative Storytelling Workshop for Girls and Young Women in Düsseldorf
The Haus der Kulturen Düsseldorf (HdKD) invites girls and young women in Düsseldorf with a background of migration and/or refugee experience to a unique, four-day workshop— “Voice-up! Tell Real Stories with Your Smartphone.”
With funding from the Düsseldorf Municipal Integration Center (KI) and in cooperation with the Kunstsammlung NRW, participants learn how to use their smartphones to tell authentic, personal, and creative stories.
Under the guidance of Dr. Marie Elisabeth Müller, a trainer with international experience, the program focuses on professional storytelling, media literacy, and strengthening participants’ own expressive and narrative skills.
What can the participants expect?
- Conducting Professional Conversations and Interviews
- Distinguishing Real Stories from Fake Ones
- Creating Short Video Stories
- Create Content Creatively and Safely with Your Smartphone
- Exchange, Empowerment & Community
At the end, the participants will present their video stories at a public closing event at K20 in Düsseldorf—alongside the audience and their communities.
