Many Cultures ♥ One Düsseldorf: Summer Festival of Cultures on September 12 at the Hofgarten
The Haus der Kulturen Düsseldorf invites you to enjoy socializing, music, dance, hands-on activities, and a variety of culinary delights from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission is free.
On Saturday, September 12, 2026, Düsseldorf’s Hofgarten will once again become a gathering place. Under the theme “One Düsseldorf, Many Cultures,” Haus der Kulturen Düsseldorf e. V. invites you to the Summer Festival of Cultures along Jägerhofallee from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All Düsseldorf residents are welcome—families, neighbors, clubs, communities, and anyone who would like to experience the city’s cultural diversity together.
2026 is a special year for the Haus der Kulturen: It marks the first summer festival since the opening of the new building on Yorckstraße. What began as an idea has become a real place for community, education, and culture. Through the summer festival, the Haus der Kulturen brings this vision out into the city and highlights the diverse contributions of Düsseldorf’s clubs and initiatives.
“The summer festival encapsulates what the House of Cultures stands for: bringing people together. Diversity comes to life when we meet one another, talk to one another, and celebrate together.”
Along Jägerhofallee—on the route from the Theatermuseum toward the Goethe-Museum—visitors can look forward to a varied program. On stage, local organizations will present music, dance, and other cultural performances. Open activity areas invite visitors to join in, with activities such as African drumming, children’s activities, and dance. Stands run by the organizations and partner groups round out the program with information, food and drink, arts and crafts, and activities for children and adults.
Since 2023, the Summer Festival of Cultures has been held in the Hofgarten and has become a regular event at our center. In 2026, too, the focus will be on togetherness: We’ll make new connections, strike up conversations, learn from one another, and shape our shared lives together. After all, we have more in common than divides us.
