In the Deutsche Oper am Rhein’s “Rendezvous um halb 8” series, two musical worlds come together under the title “Opera Meets Balkan Brass.”
Singers from the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein join forces with a Balkan brass band from our member association, Carmen e.V., to create an evening full of musical contrasts and surprising encounters. Opera arias meet powerful Balkan rhythms, and classical voices meet energetic brass—a vibrant dialogue between different musical traditions.
The audience can look forward to a varied evening of concert music that brings well-known opera melodies to life with new sounds while also bringing the dynamic energy of Balkan music to the stage.
The event is being held in cooperation with the Haus der Kulturen Düsseldorf.
